Local Characteristics
Industrial city with a unique character in the Pan-Bo Hai
zone of China Open city along the Shandong peninsula.
"City of Ceramics",
famous as the home of silk. Zibo is located in the middle of the Shandong
peninsula, borders on Taesan, a World Heritage site, to the south and the Yellow
River, the vein of the Chinese land, to the north.
With abundant natural resources, Zibo has approximately 50
kinds of minerals in its land. Among them, a huge quantity of Bauxite,
fire-resistant clay, limestone, kaolin, coal and iron boast superior quality.
They are evenly contained in major reserves in Shandong.
Tourism Resources
Zibo has a number of relics from the
origin of the Qi dynasty culture because it was the capital of the Qi. Renowned
cultural relics such as relics of the Qi dynasty excavated in Linzi are
national-level historic relics; the Dongju horse and chariot tomb and the
Ancient Chariots Museum demonstrate the strong power of Zibo in the past. Zibo
is called an "underground museum" because of the extensive cultural relics from
the Qi Dynasty and is designated as the first cultural relics preservation zone
in China.
